Toilet Training

Ocak 20266 min readDr. Sinem Sayan

Toilet training should begin when the child is physically and emotionally ready. It should be approached with patience, without forcing.

SIGNS THAT SHOW THAT YOU ARE READY:

- Diaper stays dry for more than 2 hours - Says or signals the need to go to the toilet - He notices his toilet and says - He wants to go to the toilet - Understands simple commands - He can take off his clothes and put them on

RIGHT TIME: - Usually between 18-30 months - Summer months are more suitable - Period without major changes - When the child is ready

METHOD: 1. Get and introduce the potty 2. Sit at regular intervals 3. Reward success 4. Approach accidents with patience 5. Night training after day

REMEMBER: Every child is different. Don't compare.
