Timing: - Every year in October-November - If it is to be administered for the first time, 2 doses (4 weeks apart) - If it has been done before, 1 dose is sufficient
Side Effects: - Pain and redness at the injection site - Mild fever - Weakness - Muscle pain
MISINFORMATION: - "Flu vaccine protects against flu" - Prevents false, severe transmission - "Vaccine causes disease" - False, contains dead/weakened virus - "It is not necessary every year" - Wrong, the virus changes
NOTE: The flu vaccine does not protect against the common cold.
